Digital Marketing Agent



Objective:




Own and execute the company's digital demand engine. This role replaces outsourced agencies with a single accountable operator who can plan, launch, optimize, and report across SEO and paid media and works cross-functionally with sales, product, and content.

Core Responsibilities




SEO (Primary Skill)

+ Own technical, on-page, and off-page SEO. + Conduct keyword research aligned to commercial intent.
+ Optimise site architecture, content, and performance.
+ Build and manage backlink strategy.
+ Track rankings, traffic quality, and conversion impact.
+ Translate SEO activity into pipeline contribution, not vanity metrics.


Paid Media Management (End-to-End Ownership)

+ Own all paid channels, current and future. + Determine where money goes and why.
+ Forecasts spend vs return.
+ Eliminate waste.
+ Scale what works.


Google Ads

+ Plan, build, and manage Search, Display, YouTube, and Performance Max campaigns. + Control budgets, bids, audiences, and creatives.
+ Ruthlessly optimise for CPA, ROAS, and lead quality.
+ Implement conversion tracking and attribution correctly.
+ Test continuously and kill underperforming spend fast.


Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram)

+ Build full-funnel campaigns: awareness, consideration, conversion, retargeting. + Manage creatives, audiences, and frequency.
+ Optimise against real business outcomes, not clicks.
+ Understand platform volatility and adapt quickly.


Analytics & Reporting

+ Implement and maintain GA4, Google Tag Manager, pixels, and conversion events. + Build clear, executive-level reporting.
+ Explain performance in plain language.
+ Identify causes


Strategy & Execution

+ Translate business goals into a digital marketing strategy. + Execute personally
+ Brief external creatives or specialists only when required.
+ Continuously test, learn, and iterate.


Required Experience & Skills

Proven

hands-on experience

in SEO, Google Ads, and Meta Ads. Demonstrable history of managing and optimising paid media budgets. Strong technical understanding of tracking, attribution, and analytics. Ability to operate without agency scaffolding. Commercial mindset: understands revenue, margin, and lead quality. High level of autonomy and personal accountability.

Matric (Must) Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing (beneficial) SEO/Paid media certifications(beneficial) * 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is an advantage
