Digital Account Executive

Job Description

The digital account executive will assist in executing digital marketing strategies, creating social content, managing social media, and implementing online branding efforts. This position guarantees the efficient functioning of digital campaigns, updates to the website, email marketing, and analytics reporting to improve clients' digital presence and engagement.

The ideal candidate must be passionate about digital platforms, have solid experience developing social media copy, community management, campaign development, paid media, and have a keen eye for design.



Key responsibilities include:

Digital media:



Ongoing development of digital ideas and creative concepts

Stay current on digital and social trends, and look for opportunities to incorporate them into your concepts

Ensure all creative adheres to existing brand guidelines and social best practices

Synthesise concepts in clear, concise and client facing manner

Uploading content to websites, digital newsletters, and other digital platforms.

Social media content creation and community management

Write weekly content plans that align with brand tone and messaging, meet client briefs, and coordinate client approval

Schedule social copy of content management tools such as Hootsuite

Monitor and manage social media accounts, responding to queries and comments in a timely manner

Day-to-day community management and engagement to ensure community growth and brand affinity

Good working knowledge of Meta Business Manager, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

Campaign development and paid media

Manage all social budgets and implement all paid and organic campaigns

Contribute to campaign concept development

Online reputation management and crisis PR

Daily social listening and sentiment analysis to identify opportunities and threats.

Develop and implement online reputation management according to crisis communication protocols across digital platforms.

Live coverage and event support

Oversee pre-event, live posting, and post-event posts and community engagement during client events.

Work closely with the account and events team to boost real-time audience participation and social reach.

Performance monitoring and reporting

Monitor KPIs, engagement metrics, and community feedback to evaluate performance.

Identify challenges or negative trends early and communicate them to the client in a timely manner.

Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports that include actionable insights and recommendations.



Requirements:



Degree or diploma in digital marketing, journalism, copywriting, English literature, creative writing, communication, or a similar field.

At least two (2) years of solid experience in a digital or social media position within an agency setting.

Proficiency in digital content tools such as Hootsuite, WordPress, Mailchimp, and Canva.

Demonstrated success in managing, growing, and maintaining digital audiences.

Established experience in paid media - setting up, monitoring, and optimising paid.

Excellent conceptual and writing abilities, along with extensive knowledge of the digital landscape.

Fluent in English with an excellent command of the language.

Capability to write in various styles and tones.

Proficient in collaborating with graphic designers and crafting creative briefs.
