RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our client's team in Johannesburg. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on the responsibility of maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, and diesel-powered machinery in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform necessary repairs
• Replace and repair faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and fuel systems
• Document all maintenance and repair work performed
• Order parts and materials from suppliers as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines to maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

• Matric Certificate, N3, or equivalent
• Qualified Diesel Technician with Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic (Non-negotiable)
• Previous workshop experience with repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles.
• Valid Code 14 Driver's License
• Medically fit to perform duties in a workshop environment
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and interpret technical manuals
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
