Job Description
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. This includes work on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical components in trucks, buses, agricultural equipment, generators, and construction machinery. Diesel Mechanics diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- 2-3 Years proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Service, repair, and maintain tractors, harvesters, trucks, and other diesel-powered farming equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform preventative maintenance
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and operational standards
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance work
- Respond to breakdowns on-site and off-site when required
