DIESEL MECHANIC - PE

The successful incumbent will report to the

Senior Mechanic / Divisional Head.

Purpose of Position:

To repair mechanical and electrical faults of diesel vehicles and machinery.

Requirements:

Min 15 years' experience in plant and fleet maintenance Diesel mechanic qualification Valid Driver's License Partial auto electrical experience Able to work out of town for short periods Able to work well in a team environment Must have own tools Earthmoving Equipment experience preferably CAT Komatsu and JCB Back Hoe Loader Amman products Rollers Pneumatics', Bowmag Pavers and AFW500 Paver experience. Red Seal Certificate Minimum 5 years' field service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair the mechanical and electrical faults of diesel vehicles and machinery Diagnose engine trouble and replace or repair defective parts when necessary. Completing of job cards and furnish information on the parts that should be ordered and assist in training learners Perform administrative functions Preventive maintenance Running repairs and inspections Stock control and housekeeping Supervision of assistants
