Job description

Works with colleagues to determine the possible source of machinery problems and define what issues need to be solved
Conducts thorough inspections and evaluations of problematic machinery or parts to identify issues
Orders and replaces parts and components and repairs body damage as needed
Performs regular inspections and maintenance on working machinery to ensure proper upkeep
Cleans, washes, and maintain machinery when needed for proper maintenance
Maintains detailed records of each machine or vehicle, included any maintenance, inspection, or repair services performed
Do risk assessments before tasks
Provides upfront estimates for repairs and maintenance
Ensures projects are completed effectively and on time
Maintains a large collection of tools and devices for repairing and testing vehicles and other machinery
Preventive Maintance on a weekly basic
Keeps necessary supplies in stock and places orders to replenish inventory
Do regular house keeping
All mechanical / mechanic related task and or duties and support
Report to supervisors of any hazardous or dangerous goods before work commence on maintained or services of vehicle
Be able to repair any tyres.
Weekly Maintance Meeting
Company and Fleet also private vehicles of Desco
Knowledge of Forklifts will be an advantage
Red Seal in Diesel Mechanic

Job Type: Full-time Salary: R14,000.00 - R18,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
