Summary
Our bakkie and truck client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join their team and help ensure the smooth operation of their fleet.
Description
- Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and provide solutions for repair.
- Replace faulty components, such as fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary.
- Work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime.
- Certification in Diesel Mechanics or related fields.
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Prior experience in a transport or logistics environment
