Diesel Mechanic
Contract position
Port Elizabeth
Seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic based in Port Elizabeth for a Fixed Term Contract position.
Immediate availability required
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and Maintenance - fixing mechanical failures on trucks, trailers and yellow machines, including engine components, transmission systems and other parts
- Inspections and Administration - ensure compliance with Governing regulations and laws (eg Road, Traffic Act) - ensuring policies and procedures are upheld
- Safety - Maintaining workspaces and promoting shop safety, following established procedures for safe disposal of motor oil, tyres and other vehicle fluids, adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations
- 3-5 years experience in Diesel Engine, Truck and Trailer repairs
- Grade 12
- Valid Drivers licence (CDL Strongly preferred)
- Diesel technician or mechanic degree / relevant qualification with Trade Test
- Technical skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Analytical ability and Decision Making skills
- Communication skills
- Basic MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Immediate availability
