Job Description
A leading South African open-pit mining and aggregates company has a vacancy for a Diesel Mechanic / Diesel Fitter at their Mpumalanga operation. This is a hands-on role for a skilled artisan who thrives in maintaining heavy mining equipment to maximise uptime and safety.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
- Grade 12 (preferably Technical)
- Trade Certificate Diesel Mechanic / Millwright / Diesel Fitter
- 10+ years' field experience maintaining heavy equipment in surface mining
- Valid driver's license
- Strong systems knowledge:
- CAT engine diagnostics & maintenance
- Hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical systems troubleshooting
- Oil analysis interpretation & preventive maintenance
- Drill rig experience (highly advantageous)
- Maintenance & Repairs
- Compliance & Documentation
- Team Leadership
- Operational Support
