Job Description
RPO Recruitment's client is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty earthmoving machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime on site.
Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain diesel-powered heavy-duty and earthmoving equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective action
Conduct preventative maintenance
Perform welding and fabrication
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Requirements:
Experience with heavy-duty, earthmoving equipment in the construction industry
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Red Seal certification is advantageous
Able to work independently in a high-pressure environment
