To ensure maintenance is done on the production fleet. To keep the vehicles under their
responsibility in good condition and ensure that vehicles are safe for operational usage, which includes but is not limited to:Production vehicles planned and breakdown maintenanceCustomer relationsGood housekeepingEquipment inspectionsPeople supervisionSHERQ adherence and complianceWork EthicsQUALIFICATIONSGrade 12Trade Test (Diesel Mechanic trade)Preference will be given to MQA-qualified artisansCertificate: N2 Theoretical (Diesel Mechanic)EXPERIENCEMinimum of two (2) years operational Diesel Mechanic experience post-qualifying as an artisanMinimum of two (2) years operational Earth Moving Equipment experienceSPECIFIC EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE:Komatsu PC4000, PC5500, WA1200Liebherr 9200, R996BCaterpillar 994F, 740B, 745CComputer Literacy

• Basic user of MS Suite (Excel and Word)

oEquipment

• Extensive working repair knowledge of production fleet vehicles

• Completed OEM training (where required)

• Working knowledge of all tools used for repairs

oPolicies and procedures

• Working knowledge of Mining sector safety policies and procedures

• Workshop policies

oFault finding and diagnostic

• Intermediate skills required to identify the root cause

oCommunication and listening

• Basic skills required to give instructions to others and provide feedback

oInterpersonal

• Basic interpersonal skills

oAnalytical and problem-solving

• Basic skills required to analyse a situation and identify the most suitable repair method

oPlanning and organising

• Intermediate skills required to plan own workload and that of others
