seeks to employ an experienced
Diesel Mechanic
to join our dynamic and growing team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate is a reliable, hands-on professional with a strong work ethic and a proven track record in fleet repairs and maintenance.Key Responsibilities:
Perform
preventative and scheduled maintenance
ondiesel and petrol
vehicles.Diagnose, inspect, repair, and reassemble
diesel and petrol engines and vehicle systems. Accurately complete andsign off service records/job cards
, verifying that work has been completed to the required standard. Ensure allmaintenance history is documented,
and the vehicle is left in a safe and reliable condition. Use a variety ofmanual and power tools
, and electrical diagnostic equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults effectively. Work in compliance withRMI standards
, ensuring ethical service, quality parts, and consumer protection. Manage/Performpreventative and scheduled maintenance
on trailers. Manage/Performpreventative and scheduled maintenance
on diesel bowser. Manage/Performpreventative and scheduled maintenance
on forklift. Available for call out purposes. On site maintenance and repairs of Generators on sites Administration tasks.Minimum Requirements:
Occupational Certificate: Diesel Mechanic
(SAQA-recognised) orequivalent qualification
. Minimum of4 years apprenticeship/trade experience
.Relevant trade certification
and accreditation. Experience in anRMI-registered workshop
(advantageous or required depending on your policy). Valid driver's license.Skills & Traits:
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and safety consciousness. Strong
problem-solving
anddiagnostic
abilities. Able to work independently and under supervision when required.Maintain warranty and motor plan compliance
through certified service.Recognised and reputable service history for insurance and resale purposes.
Operate under nationally recognised
ethical standards and quality assurance

Perform in high pressure environment.
