Diesel Mechanic Automotive Truck Industry
Location: Pretoria West
Role Overview:
Seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal for maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of heavy-duty trucks in our Pretoria West workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance of trucks and trailers
- Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs
- Engine overhauls, clutch, brake, and suspension repairs
- Use diagnostic tools and manuals
- Accurate completion of job cards and reports
- Vehicle roadworthiness inspections and adherence to safety standards
- Emergency roadside repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, organised work area
- Matric (Grade 12) and Red Seal Diesel Mechanic Qualification
- 35 years experience on heavy-duty trucks (Mercedes, MAN, Scania, Volvo, etc.)
- Strong diagnostics, repair, and servicing background
- Code 14 drivers licence and own tools advantageous
- Familiarity with modern diagnostics/software
- Technical/mechanical ability; problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused team player
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
