Job Description


Job Summary Duties include:Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Volkswagen vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Can interpret diagnostic codes and troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.Vehicle Diagnostics: Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and software to identify complex technical issues in V.W. VehiclesTroubleshooting: Investigate and analyse vehicle malfunctions to determine the root cause and recommend appropriate solutions.Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks according to Volkswagens standards and specifications, ensuring safety and reliability of vehicles.Electrical Systems: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electronic components, using specialised tools and techniques.Mechanical Systems: Conduct inspections and repairs on mechanical systems such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension components.Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their concerns, explain diagnostic findings, and repair options, and provide excellent customer service throughout the repair process.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of diagnostic tests, repairs performed, and parts used, ensuring compliance with Volkswagens documentation standards for auditing purposes.Training & Development: Stay updated on Volkswagens latest technology, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques through ongoing training and development.Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an automotive technician, specializing in electronic systems and diagnostics, preferably with Volkswagen/Audi vehicles.
  • Trade Test Qualifications
  • Knowledge of V.W./Audi specific systems
  • Proficiency in using advanced diagnostic equipment and software
  • Certification from V.W. / Audi or a recognised automotive training program specializing in V.W./Audi diagnostic
  • Ability to analyse complex issues and find effective solutions
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, CAN bus communication protocols, and vehicle network architecture
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and engineers.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
