Devops Engineer

Job Description

Our client in the telecommunications sector is looking for a DevOps Engineer on a contract duration of 6 months. Suitable candidates must have BSS & Telecommunications experience.
Job Purpose:
To implement, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment processes that support BSS platforms and applications within the telecommunications environment. The DevOps Engineer will play a key role in enabling agile development and ensuring reliable delivery of telecom services like billing, CRM, provisioning, and order management.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:

  • 3-7 years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles
  • Experience working with telecom BSS systems (CRM, billing, provisioning, mediation)
  • Proficient in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, or CircleCI
  • Expertise in infrastructure automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform)
  • Strong containerization skills: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid/on-prem)
  • Knowledge of version control (Git), branching strategies, and release management
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Groovy)
Telecom-Specific:
  • Understanding of BSS/OSS architecture
  • Experience deploying and supporting telecom applications (charging systems, order mgmt, etc.)
  • Familiarity with telecom protocols (e.g., Diameter, SOAP/XML, REST APIs)
