Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the in-house electrical engineering and software development team
• Developing and integrating technology systems that tie together complex IOT hardware
• Cloud infrastructure and service delivery components creating a platform that is bulletproof
• Resilient and easy to troubleshoot
• Your role will be to design, deliver and manage the back-end Cloud infrastructure systems, as well as the technology for the "edge" mirror of the Cloud systems that runs on-premises at customer sites.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years experience and proficiency in managing and deploying standalone and Cloud-native services on public Cloud environments.
• Expertise in Amazon AWS infrastructure deployment, automation, systems management and IAM.
• Systems design skills and knowledge to deliver working software systems for message-based applications (MQTT, AMQP) for connecting devices at remote sites to the Cloud
• Building and setting up development tools and infrastructure for the DevOps environment
• Experience developing software applications and integrating systems for enterprise use cases
• Understand best practices and techniques to ensure systems are secure against threat

Key Qualifications

• Back-end, front-end and API integration and automation experience
• Proven experience deploying underlying infrastructural services to enable system integrations, including knowledge of leading database, message transport, message queue and Service Bus technologies
• Developed/customised and managed the APIs required for these integrations, including experience in using API management tools
• Must have some experience setting up, deploying to and connecting containers
• Experience in logging and log analytics, and configuring and maintaining monitoring tools
• Used Linux-based OS for enterprise systems for 5-10 years
• Experience with code deployment and management systems, and infrastructure-as-code

Highly Advantageous Skills

• Worked with the following types of tools or similar: unstructured search (Elasticsearch), logging (Logstash/Loki), analytics, visualisation, graphing (Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus)
• Strong critical and analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of Linux systems administration and Identity and Access Management
• Understanding of encryption technologies, and certificate and key management
• Ability to work both at the office and at home, and self-manage
• Ability to interact with software contractor partners and multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent English communication skills to collaborate with a service-oriented team
• Accuracy and attention to detail
