Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with 5 - 6 years experience who will be Responsible for streamlining and supporting the software development and deployment pipelines. The individual should have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, containerisation, automation, and continuous integration. They'll collaborate across teams to ensure fast, secure, and reliable delivery of applications in a highly dynamic environment.

Education:

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

5-6+ years in a DevOps or similar engineering role Proven experience with cloud environments (especially AWS) and DevOps toolchains Experience working in Agile, fast-paced teams

Functional Knowledge:

Understanding of cloud infrastructure management and provisioning Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and continuous delivery workflows Familiarity with Agile development environments Intermediate knowledge of cloud network topologies (e.g., VPCs, VPNs) Working knowledge of version control and branching strategies Some understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies

Skills

Strong experience with AWS (required); GCP (nice to have) Automation and infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, Ansible, or SaltStack Containerization with Docker and orchestration platforms Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases (administration and management) Git and GitHub for source control and CI/CD integration Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch) Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) Familiarity with message/event queues (e.g., NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ) General networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.) Highly Analytical
