Devops Engineer
Cape Town

We specialize in delivering cutting-edge, multi-channel communication solutions for corporate clients nationwide. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to ensure automated, efficient, and consistent operations across both Cape Town and Gauteng divisions.

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Information Technology primarily using Microsoft and Linux Technologies
• Experience using containers such as docker and orchestration tools kubernetes.
• Experience with IAC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.
• Knowledge of Web and Application hosting environments (IIS, Windows Services or Nginx).
• Database experience on MySQL and MSSql
• Source control using Git with Bitbucket
• Experience in Amazon Web Services xe2x80x93 S3, EC2, etc.
• Detailed knowledge of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL
• Basic Scripting Languages: Bash, Python, etc.
• Knowledge of web application security / WAFs

Desirable Criteria:

• A relevant Information Technology tertiary qualification and Microsoft Certifications
• AWS / Azure Certification
• Previous experience in 24/7 High Performance Environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, monitoring, deployment, resource, and security requirements.
• Implement, manage, and evolve CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment.
• Ensure adherence to DevOps strategies, especially regarding logging, monitoring, security, and data compliance.
• Collaborate with the dev team to design scalable and operable solutions.
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, propose remediation steps, and provide hands-on support.
• Research and implement new technologies to enhance our DevOps environment.
