Purpose of Job
To plan and coordinate daily Distribution and Transportation activities, including dispatching orders and tracking transportation vehicles to ensure that all shipments are handled quickly, safely, and within budget.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Implement operational processes and policies to effectively coordinate daily activities between Natref and Shareholders. Revise content provided to internal and external stakeholders to secure credibility. Consider safety management and structure of operational cost during transportation assessments. Ascertain that load allocations are performed as per protocols. Evaluate system performance weekly and monthly. Handle escalated issues and resolve various problems (e.g., transporters and shareholders Bar codes and slots) that impact service providers. Develop solutions for transport management by assisting in the establishment of optimisation strategies for turnaround times. Apply evidence based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations. Implement Natref Business risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to enable the achievement of service requirements. Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals. Manage team performance and development formally and informally based on standard practices in use across Natref. Identify and activate learning as required based on individual and collective needs. Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. Manage the Despatch KPI's as agreed with the stakeholders. Manage the mass-balance inputs from Despatch and ensure accurate reconciled data. Effective systems control to ensure no loss of shareholders' stock. Execute SHE strategy to achieve zero harm. Continuous improvement of key safety metrics to maintain license to operate (RSR - RAILWAY SAFETY REGULATOR). Ensure PDA and MOC process adherence. Ensure that personal development plan is completed, implemented, and tracked. Daily, receives feedback on performance, focus areas, priorities alignment, planning of resources, reporting of risk mitigation planning. Ensure that operational activities adhere to the latest SANS standards. Monthly SHERQ compliance and reporting. Annual participation in audits and certification of safety, environmental and quality systems.
