Design Engineer – Manufacturing & Assembly
Job Description
Manufacturing Company who is setting international benchmarks in the automotive/aerospace industry is looking for a Manufacturing and Assembly Design Engineer to join the team. Design projects include designing & detailing various elements, parts, and components, e.g.: Joinery components, including design for assembly, and installation design thereof. Furthermore, manufacturing process design, tooling design, jig design, weight and cost optimisation, and BOM creation.Engineering Degree/Diploma (Mechanical or relevant Designing field)Thorough understanding of tooling designThorough understanding of design for manufacturingWorking knowledge of SolidWorks is non-negotiableKnowledge of AutoCADProficient in ExcelPractical understanding and experience of Joinery constructionMust reside in Cape TownKindly note that if you have not received any feedback 2 weeks after your application, please consider your application unsuccessful.
