Job Summary Key Work Output and Accountabilities: Assume responsibility and accountability for evidence basedpractices. Quality Patient Care, Evidence Based Practices Management of patient environment, infection prevention and control Management of the Patient care plan Legal, ethical and scientific nursing care, nursing sensitivity indicator Nursing Efficiencies and Effectiveness Staff module, labour hour norms, Budget, Patient acuity, skill mix Staff and Staffing Nursing resource plan, retention, satisfaction, recognition and reward Nursing Education Training and Competence Continuous professional development Critical competencies Standardized induction for all categories of nurses Management and Leadership development Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders which include the doctor relationship Inherent Requirements: A relevant nursing qualification ( B Cur Degree/ or relevant management qualification) ICU /trauma experience will be an advantage. Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations Sound financial knowledge and the ability to interpret financial data Computer literacy
