Job Purpose
Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage a Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Movable Asset Management (MAM) Data Analytics and Technical Support service.
Minimum Requirements
An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Statistics, Information Management or Econometrics related to the job content; A minimum of 3 years junior management experience in Statistics, Information Management and / or related field.
Recommendation
Technical expertise regarding data models and database design development.
Key Performance Areas
Data Analytics, Reporting, and Business Intelligence; Data Management, Governance, and Infrastructure; Application Development and Digital Transformation; Capacity Building, Stakeholder Engagement, and Product Delivery.
Competencies
Knowledge and understanding of the following:
Data analysis methodology, use of presentation software; Compiling and manage supply chain management reporting and analysis on specified targeted areas of provincial importance as well as ensure an efficient and effective management of provincial procurement data; Research and analysis.
Skills needed: Proven computer literacy (MS Office); Written and verbal communication skills and a strong commitment to and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service; Numeracy; Literacy; Project Management; Accounting Finance and Audit; Information Technology; Economic, financial analysis.
Remuneration
All-inclusive salary package of R 896 436 per annum (Salary level 11)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes
Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to do a practical and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
