Purpose of this role:



The Depot Manager is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing Bwise's regional transport operations. This role ensures efficient route planning, driver management, and vehicle utilization, while maintaining OTIF (On Time In Full) performance and cost efficiencies across all regions.



Key Responsibilities:



1. Manage and optimize national delivery operations across both long-haul 3PL partners and last-mile distribution networks.



2. Ensure cost-effective, compliant, and consistent on-time delivery performance nationwide.



3. Lead strategic route planning to maximize efficiency, reduce transit times, and improve load utilization.



4. Coordinate and oversee regional and national 3PL service providers, including performance management and issue resolution.



5. Manage vehicles, drivers, and cost controls, supported by comprehensive operational reporting to drive continuous improvement and service excellence.




Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Transport Management or equivalent (Preferable) Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in fleet or transport coordination. (Required) Experience managing medium- and heavy-duty vehicle operations (5-14 ton range). Understanding of OTIF metrics, route optimization, and cost-per-kg performance indicators. Valid driver's license (C1 or higher preferred). Strong analytical and route planning ability. Excellent communication and coordination skills. High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Proficiency in transport management systems and Excel-based reporting. Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance standards. * Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
