PepsiCo SA employs more than 13, 000 people across our three business divisions: Bakeries, Grains, Foods, Fruit, Snacks, Juice & Beverages.
Manages the sales and distribution functions of a large size operation inclusive of orders, warehousing and fleet management. Develops and maintains optimum sales and delivery plans. Effectively maximize market share whilst ensuring the availability of products to drive customer satisfaction. Normally reports to Unit Mangers.
Responsibilities:
What we're looking for:

  • Accountable for the profitable management of a depot within the constraints of company policy and for determining the most effective use of the resources available to meet the specified distribution and sale targets.
  • Analyse sales forecasts & competitor activities
  • Formulate and manage plans i.e.. volume, price & promotions
  • Plan distribution incl. products, people, vehicles, routes & customers, and optimise fleet utilisation
  • Execute customer service delivery incl. orders, products, queries & cash, and optimise stock management of final goods
  • Manage team, equipment and vehicles including crates, pallets, scales, and forklifts
  • Maintain and manage customer relationships and new business growth. Manage manpower costs, ensuring maintenance of acceptable work standards and discipline.
  • Manage and support SHEQ initiatives and objectives.
  • Monitor and present operation performance KPI's daily as well as daily activity reports.
  • Maintain necessary record and documentation as required and fulfil all reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure effective debtors, creditors, and budget management.
  • Conduct regular housekeeping inspections to ensure a high level of neatness, cleanliness and tidiness is maintained.
  • Manage fuel usage and supply.
Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree with at least 3 years experience in a similar role
  • This role necessitates an individual with highly proficient planning skills and excellent communication skills who can thrive in a high-pressure environment.
