Dental Practice Manager | Pietermaritzburg, Kzn
Job Description
A well-established dental practice in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Dental Practice Manager to lead their administrative and operational functions. The ideal candidate will be an organised, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills and proven experience managing a busy dental environment.
Candidates with experience using Elixir Live practice management software will be highly preferred. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a supportive team and help drive excellence in patient care and daily practice operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dental practice
- Managing patient flow, appointment scheduling, and front-desk operations
- Ensuring exceptional patient experience and communication
- Supervising and supporting administrative and clinical staff
- Maintaining accurate patient records and billing information
- Managing stock and inventory, including ordering dental supplies
- Liaising with service providers, medical aids, and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Generating reports and assisting with financial and operational planning
- Implementing and improving practice systems and workflows
- Prior experience as a Dental Practice Manager (or similar role)
- Proficiency in Elixir Live is advantageous
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanour and a patient-focused approach
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 16:30 & Every alternate Saturday, 08:15 12:30
