Job Description


Our client in the Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Demi Chef, in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking.
  • Responsible for all dishes prepared in own section, must be knowledgeable about the section being overseen.
  • Oversee line or station cooks within a production area - such as the potager, saucier, vegetable cook or pastry chef.
  • Oversee all preparation, cooking and presentation for plates.
Requirements:
  • Associatexe2x80x99s Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Culinary Arts.
  • Proven commercial kitchen experience.
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be knowledgeable about how a kitchen functions as a whole.
  • Being organized and able to work in fast-paced, high-pressure situations is important.
Remuneration:
  • R7 000 xe2x80x93 R8 000 per month.
