Job Summary

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a skilled and experienced Demand Planner to their team in the Food Production industry based in Cape Town. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for planning and a background in food production to contribute to a well-established company. As a Demand Planner, you will be responsible for analyzing demand patterns, developing accurate forecasts, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand patterns and develop accurate forecasts to project future sales and production requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Production, to gather relevant data and insights.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as customer demand, product availability, and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and manage potential supply chain disruptions.
• Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, including safety stock, replenishment policies, and order frequency.
• Regularly review and adjust forecast models based on market trends, promotional activities, and new product introductions.
• Conduct root cause analysis on forecast variances and recommend corrective actions to improve accuracy.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Demand Planner within the Food Production industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in demand planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts and best practices.
