A leader in the travel industry, is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven individual to join our dynamic finance team. As a Debtors Controller, you will be responsible for managing the companys debtor book, ensuring the timely collection of outstanding amounts, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the overall financial health of the company.
As a Debtors Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the full debtors function, including accurate invoicing, reconciliations, and collections
- Monitor and maintain the debtors ledger, ensuring payments are received on time
- Handle queries related to invoices and payments professionally and promptly
- Conduct regular follow-ups and issue statements and reminders
- Liaise with internal departments, travel consultants, and clients to resolve outstanding issues
- Prepare age analysis reports and assist with month-end reporting
- Identify high-risk accounts and escalate when necessary
- Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Matric (Grade 12) is essential
A finance or credit management qualification is advantageous
Minimum 35 years experience in a debtors role
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure
