SSK currently has the following career opportunity available at its subsidiary, Humansdorp Agricultural Corporation, in Humansdorp. The Debtors Clerk, who reports to the Senior Credit Manager, is primarily responsible for ensuring effective credit control in order to increase revenue while limiting risk, in order to achieve long-term profitability for the business.

Responsibilities

Handling administration related to membership applications. Advanced knowledge and experience of Debtors collections, account reconciliations, monitoring of aging analyses, and following up on credit extensions. Must be able to provide evidence of the effective management of Debtors and the timely recovery of accounts. Managing the accuracy and validity of Debtors' information, including correct allocation, and accurate and timely processing of relevant documentation. Strong administrative, numerical, and computer skills with a financial background are essential. Must have good knowledge of operational systems and technology, i.e., Internet, Email, and MS Office. Excellent interpersonal skills for establishing and maintaining good client and staff relationships. Handling of telephone and departmental enquiries as well as credit references. General administrative functions. Good judgement, integrity, and the ability to act tactfully.

Requirements

Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject will count in the applicant's favour A minimum of 3 years of experience in the administration of Debtors Experience in preparing credit applications Relevant experience with the National Credit Act
