Debtors Clerk

Location: Paarden Eiland, Cape Town

Salary: Market related

Reporting to: Financial Manager

LED Lighting SA

is a lighting company specialising in LED technology. The company is design oriented and manufactures standard and customised product solutions for the architectural, rail, commercial and industrial industries. This is a rapidly growing and highly innovative business with a young and energetic team.

We are looking for a confident, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills. Debtors will be the primary function but applicants with all round experience advantageous as we're a small team and the ability to perform all functions is a requirement.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Review customer credit applications and approval Forward customer credit details to CGIC for feedback and approval Ensure credit limits in NAV are aligned with CGIC approvals Reconcile and maintain all debtors accounts for payments Daily/Weekly/Monthly Daily reporting on debtors positions Ensure that customer statements are sent to customers Complete reconciliation of customer payments to invoices and note differences for follow up Follow up past dues with customers Handover of past due customers who have failed to pay after formal request so settle past due Attend to customer queries Process credit notes when needed Raising sales invoices after due diligence Maintain a current and accurate filing system for the debtors function Assist with general administration and financial duties General filing and administration Provide estimate of when customer payments are expected as input for cash flow forecast Perform reconciliations and analysis in Excel when requested Any other task that management may reasonably assign to you

Qualifications and Experience

Grade 12 or equivalent SAQA approved qualification Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience OR Relevant tertiary qualification with 2 or more years relevant work experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programmes ERP system experience essential Manufacturing environment experience advantageous
