What will you do?



This role supports the Debtor Manager in executing their function of supporting the SanlamConnect: Finance Debt Management team with the most complex technical aspects of the work. This typically will come in the form of either new or non-standard requests/queries. This position supports high level complaints of a technical nature as well as managing the correction of errors. The Technical Specialist will also work at continually streamlining and enhancing the BAU processing and practices, thus looking for efficiencies. The Technical Specialist actively participates by providing input into the investigation, analyses, and development of new business solutions arising from new business requirements, ensuring seamless integration into BAU. The Technical Specialist trains and supports staff with new implementation in the IT environment.

Support with technically complex or non-standardised queries, requests and errors Resolve/support the Debtors Manager and team with complex technical queries/requests/social media complaints to ensure timeous and prompt investigation and resolution of technically complex or non-standard queries/complaints. Oversee all actions, to ensure the tasks are executed correctly. Supports the Debtors Manager and team with the timeous and prompt investigation and resolution of errors: + Investigation

+ Recording source documents where applicable to training material.
Execution of the yearly Debt Forgiveness tasks Scoping, analysing, implementation support and innovative improvements Analyze a variety of data, business plans, trends, predictions. Understanding the business requirement specs (BRS). Business analysis up to the lowest level of implementation - i.e. how to execute the task Ensure new developments are integrated with required programs Coordinating implementation Production testing on all new developments once in BAU to validate that the system is working according to specification supplied. Gets involved in the full spectrum of testing, given the size & shape of the project. Train and support the team and Debt Collectors (where applicable) on new initiatives to ensure new policy is understood and documented. Ensure that the team and the Debt Collectors (where applicable) is competent to handle the task/enquiries in BAU. Co-ordinate/ Control of SanPay Jira's as well as Jira's with process work-around impacts within the DDM team. Co-ordinate and control of weekly E-fixe & Release JIRA's Support with system testing and related processes - Disaster Recovery Handle internal risk controls & enhancement/improvement of BAU processes and practices Supports the Debtors Manager in minimizing risk in team - identifying areas of improvement/enhancements Design and implementation of improvements Design improvement solutions that support the team with managing BAU. Look for ways to use available resources and partners to resolve challenges. Make proposals to management and oversee implementation. Freely share knowledge and skills for the development of the team. Coordination and support with the transfer of knowledge for the Debt Collectors. Role Requirements:

B. Comm with Accounting / Law or equivalent is strongly recommended



Knowledge & Experience:


Minimum 3 years' experience in Debt recovery process environment At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within Financial Services industry Sound knowledge of Sales, distribution, REMS and debt management practices POPIA Knowledge of Debt Management and the Insurance sector + Basic understanding of the SDLC
