Distribution Centre Inbound Manager - GautengAs the Distribution Centre Inbound Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the inbound logistics operations of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and timely receipt, storage, and movement of goods into our distribution centre. You will work closely with various teams, including distribution stakeholders , suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to streamline processes and maintain a smooth flow of products into our distribution centre.Functional Description: Inbound Logistics Coordination: Plan and manage all inbound logistics activities, including receiving, unloading, and inspection of goods, to ensure timely and accurate delivery to the distribution center. Collaborate with transportation providers to schedule and coordinate deliveries, optimizing routes and minimizing delays. Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate recording and tracking of inbound inventory to ensure real-time visibility of stock levels. Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and shrinkage. Quality Control and Compliance: Establish and maintain quality control procedures for incoming goods, ensuring they meet specified standards and requirements. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards related to the handling and storage of incoming products. Vendor and Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate smooth inbound logistics operations. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement in inbound logistics operations. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to increase efficiency and reduce lead times. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and manage the inbound logistics team, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare regular reports on operational metrics, identifying trends, and recommending actions for improvement.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related Higher Diploma 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in supply chain 5 years proven experience in inbound logistics, distribution center operations, or supply chain management. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory requirements related to inbound goods. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Proficient in using SAP EWM Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R65,000.00 - R70,000.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Diploma (Preferred)Experience:SC Inbound management: 5 years (Required)
