We are in search of a

DC Assistant

to join our dynamic Distribution Team in Cape Town.


In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of stock within the Distribution Centre (DC), adhering to standard operating procedures (SOP) for accuracy, productivity, and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Participation within the departmental teams and the DC team activities Comply with SOPs to ensure efficient stock management within the DC Process stock according to departmental plans and productivity targets Ensure daily production units are processed effectively and efficiently Ensure accuracy in all tasks, meeting productivity and quality standards Awareness of the cost implications within the DC environment Participate in and take ownership of 5S in the workplace Adhere to Health and Safety regulations

JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE required:

Basic understanding of Distribution Centre operations Warehouse management system knowledge

SKILLS required:

Communicate effectively Work well with others, contributing to a collective goal, and sharing responsibilities and ideas Flexibility to changing environments Being honest, ethical, and trustworthy in all actions and decisions Work safely and with a high degree of accuracy Show Initiative Meeting or exceeding the needs and expectations of customers or clients

EXPERIENCE required:

Essential:

Experience in a team-based operational environment (e.g., DC/Warehousing)

Preferred:

Experience using a handheld device as part of a warehouse management system Similar experience in a Clothing/Textile/Retail industry

QUALIFICATION:

Essential:

Matric/Grade 12
