Our client in the Telco sector is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with Oracle experience on a contract duration of 6 months.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA) with proven expertise in Oracle database environments to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, and will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our critical data infrastructure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:

• Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's or higher).
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar certification preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.
• Experience with Oracle database architecture, tuning, backup/recovery, and security.
• Proven experience with tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN, and Data Pump.

Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux command-line tools and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted Oracle solutions (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
• Exposure to other database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic, middleware, or EBS is advantageous.
