JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems or equivalent plus at least 5 years' minimum experience in Database Administration. Database development and programming will be an added advantage.
- Work closely with other IT specialists to setup, maintain and monitor database.
- Activate and deactivate database accounts in order to monitor access to organization employees.
- Design and implement database according to the end user's information needs and views.
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast queries responses.
- Monitor the database performance, implement changes and apply new patches when required.
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
- Perform tests and evaluation regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
- Use high speed transaction recovery techniques to backup data.
- Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
