PBT Group is looking for a

Data Scientist

to join a high-performing Data Science team driving innovation through advanced analytics and machine learning solutions. The successful candidate will apply data science techniques to extract insights, automate decision-making processes, and support the design and deployment of predictive models in a collaborative, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive strategic business decisions. Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning models and algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient data preparation, integration, and pipeline automation for model development. Validate, test, and monitor model performance, ensuring stability and accuracy over time. Communicate analytical results and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to the design and enhancement of data science platforms and best practices. Support data governance and documentation for reproducibility and auditability.

Skills & Experience Required:

3+ years' experience in a Data Science role within analytics or financial environments. Proficiency in

Python

(including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PySpark, TensorFlow, or PyTorch). Strong working knowledge of

AWS

(S3, SageMaker, Lambda) and

Databricks

for data science workflows. Solid understanding of statistical modelling, data mining, and feature engineering techniques. Experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Familiarity with

SQL

for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. Experience in

insurance

or exposure to

Salesforce

or

TIA

systems will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline. AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty or Databricks Machine Learning Certification (advantageous).
