The Data Lead is responsible for overseeing the organization's data architecture, ensuring structured data management, and guiding data design strategies. This role requires a strong technical foundation in data structuring, governance, and integration, along with proven leadership experience in managing data teams. The Data Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize data flows, and support strategic decision-making.
Experience required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data management, data architecture, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing data teams for 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL, etc.), data modeling, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data governance, compliance regulations, and security best practices.
  • Proficiency in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data integration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business terms.
  • Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies (Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
  • Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics is a plus.
  • Agile project management experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology.
  • Honour's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be advantageous.
