About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled

Data Engineering Lead

to drive the design, development, and optimisation of our data infrastructure as we scale our analytics and automation capabilities across the organisation. This is a key leadership role responsible for building robust data pipelines, shaping our data architecture, and ensuring the business has reliable, high-quality data to support operational, analytical, and strategic decision-making.


The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership ability, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about enabling data-driven transformation.

Key responsibilities:

Lead the development, maintenance, and optimisation of data pipelines, workflows, and integrations across multiple systems. Design and implement scalable data architectures to support reporting, analytics, automation, and operational insights. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that improve visibility, efficiency, and performance. Mentor and support junior engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of high-quality engineering and continuous improvement. Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the data platform and accelerate delivery. Ensure data security, compliance, and integrity across all systems and processes.

Experience and Qualification required:

Mathematics/Science/Commerce/IT Degree (NQF Level 7), or equivalent, if substantiated by valid evidence of competency. * 3 - 5 years' relevant data analysis experience in a professional working environment.
