A leading investment firm is looking for a Data Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain data platform technologies that support business operations and analytics. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including database administrators, BI analysts, solution architects, and software engineers to deliver robust data solutions.
This role offers exposure to modern data stacks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tools, with the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that drive business insights and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data architecture for client and business intelligence reporting
• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Ensure data quality and reliability through validation and performance monitoring
• Support BI analysts by troubleshooting data workflows and recommending solutions

Job Experience and Skills Required

• Relevant bachelor's degree or industry certification
• 3+ years experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and architecture
• Proven experience with modern data stack and big data technologies
• Experience in the investment services industry is advantageous
• MS SQL, MS Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake
• ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Power Query, Dataflows
• Cloud platforms and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps or similar)
• Python and Git proficiency
• Strong understanding of data validation, performance optimisation, and release processes
