We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and optimization of modern data infrastructure for one of our strategic consulting engagements. Skills and Experience
What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures.
• Provide strategic guidance on the evolution of data infrastructure and technologies.
• Develop advanced data models to meet complex business requirements.
• Optimize storage and data access strategies for performance and scalability.
• Support advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.
• Oversee the optimization of data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Conduct performance tuning and troubleshoot complex workflows across environments.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to ensure technical excellence and delivery.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders.
• Act as a key technical liaison between engineering teams and business units.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Stay informed on evolving industry standards and best practices.

Your expertise:

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on architecture and solution delivery.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark (PySpark), and Hadoop.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS (or Azure/GCP equivalents).
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring and managing technical teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Awareness of data privacy, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Dev & Productivity Tools: AWS CDK, Docker, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Xray, Draw.io.

Cloud & Data Tools (AWS-centric): AWS S3, Lambda, Redshift (Serverless), EMR, Glue, Athena, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Delta.io, Unity Catalog, DynamoDB.
Qualifications:

• Certifications in data engineering, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), or analytics tools.
