Job Summary

Our client has an opportunity available for a Data Architecture Lead to be based in the Johannesburg area.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems or related field
• Data certifications preferred (SSIS, Microsoft)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior-level data management role
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the management of technical teams
• Experience in building data architecture
• Experience in designing and implementing data driven solutions
• Thorough understanding of data architecture
• Strong working knowledge of complex data warehouse design, architecture, development and maintenance
• Strong working knowledge of data solution architecture, design and development
• Strong working knowledge of data process automation and business process automation design, architecture and development
• Strong working knowledge of SSIS and SSAS
• Strong experience working with dynamic coding as opposed to hard coded environments
• Strong technical documentation expertise
• Strong programming skills (Python, C#, java etc.)
• Understanding of data analytics (Power BI)
• Understanding data science (ML Tools/packages, AI)
• Attention to detail

KPAs:

• Designing and implementing data strategies, systems, and solutions
• Overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data
• Implementing data privacy policies and complying with data protection regulations
• Design a centralized data architecture that can be used by all business units to retrieve information
• Design instruments of data gathering
• Oversee data management (Azure DW, SSIS) and data security
