Data Analyst needed in CPT!
This role is designed for a data-driven professional who can turn numbers into insight and insight into action.
The successful candidate will sit within Internal Audit, supporting the governance, risk and controls environment by leveraging analytics to drive assurance, process efficiency and continuous improvement.
This position requires strong technical capability, critical thinking and the ability to translate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Duties:

• Collaborate with auditors and business stakeholders to understand audit objectives and translate them into actionable data analytics procedures.
• Design and develop analytics models and trend analysis to highlight control gaps and risk exposure.
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of business and internal audit processes using data-based testing.
• Implement continuous auditing frameworks and automated testing.
• Develop dashboards and visual reporting to increase audit coverage and enhance insight delivery.
• Prepare data dictionaries, supporting working papers and analytical reports.
• Maintain high execution and reporting standards for all analytics activities.
• Support the rollout of data analytics frameworks, methodologies, and policies.
• Present data-driven insights clearly to non-technical audiences.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or related.

Experience:

• 4-6 years' experience in data analytics, ideally within an eCommerce environment.
• Practical exposure to Internal Audit and/or Risk environments (advantageous).

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Python and Alteryx (e.g., SSIS/SSRS).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work across multiple business functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of auditing methodologies and data governance principles.
• Power BI proficiency is advantageous.
• Familiarity with online gaming, sports betting markets or regulatory compliance environments is advantageous.
