Data Analyst (sap Ecc/bw)
Job Description
Our client in the Banking Industry is looking for a Data Analyst with strong analytical capabilities ranging from Excel, Alteryx & SQL.
Responsibilities:
Support the Business Analyst by performing detailed data profiling and analysis.
Analyse master data structures and identify data quality gaps and inconsistencies.
Assist in the development of target data models, validation rules, and integration mappings.
Provide insights on data linkages between GL and sub-ledgers, and sub-ledger standardisation.
Help define metrics and KPI dashboards for tracking improvements in data quality and reporting timelines.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
5 years' experience as a Data Analyst, ideally within financial services or banking.
Strong experience working with SAP ECC (especially Finance modules) and SAP BW.
Experience in analysing data from multiple sub-ledgers and linking it to the general ledger.
Proven involvement in data quality, master data or data governance projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in SAP ECC and SAP BW data structures.
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data models, lookups).
SQL - for querying and data extraction.
Alteryx - for data manipulation, cleansing, and automation.
Understanding of finance-related data domains (GL, sub-ledger, product hierarchies, etc.).
