We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our European Partners team based in Johannesburg. The main role of a Data Analyst is to support the business and its project leaders from other Edrington departments in creating tools and gathering information required for the success of projects in the region. This is mainly understanding the business needs, determining the most appropriate solution design, undergoing research analysis, gathering of raw data, data analysis, and creating a simplified visual of the findings in whatever tool is determined as the most appropriate (presentations, excel, PBI dashboards).

You will be responsible for the following:


Provide data insights and analytics for projects to stakeholders as requested Proactively consider business improvements for data analysis to improve support to EP team Carry out commercial and financial insight information Gathering on depletions, shipment and stock information by region across EP. Carry out market studies and outlet segmentation including analysis and presentation of data for commercial teams from Aforza, and our segmented universe files. Pricing auditing across various platforms with findings presented to Area Managers Raw Data Analysis (IWSR as an example) Present data findings in a readable format, translated to key usable findings for decision making Modelling of data and creation of Power BI dashboards to enable digestible data for the EP team Maintaining, debugging & enhancing current models / data tools Promote & facilitate the implementation of new data tools supported by commercial capability manager Scale infrastructure & tools with automation and standardisation (Implement the automation flow through business analysis of processes to improve efficiency in various spaces) Leverage data for proactive decision making and better execution in market

The successful candidate will have/be:


Developed interpersonal skill set, leadership abilities Experience of using analytical and programming tools (Power BI etc.) A strong track record of delivery Multiple stakeholder management both with internal and external stakeholders Business development mindset Strong technical aptitude A strong sense of ownership and pride, with the ability to work independently Spirits lor luxury industry experience would be advantageou Educated to degree level Fluency in English is required, due to the global nature of our business
