About the Role
As a Data Analyst in IDM, you will mine and synthesize diverse data sources -- including, but not limited to, transactions, customer profiles, product hierarchies, and store operations -- and translate your findings into clear, engaging insights and recommendations. Your insights will enable the business to make tactical and strategic decisions that enhance customer experience and commercial value.

Role Description

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand problem statements and frame requirements.
  • Develop, test, and validate ways to solve problems or address business requirements.
  • Work with business, technology, and development teams to find the most appropriate methods, techniques, and data for the task at hand.
  • Collaborate across teams and functions to leverage data and enable transformative insights that drive sound business decisions.
  • Design, develop, debug, test, document, and support solutions.
  • Drive post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Create and communicate comprehensive and compelling reports, visualisations, and analytical findings including insightful observations, commentary, and recommendations.
  • Resolve complex data related queries from business stakeholders.
  • Monitor solutions and datasets so that issues can be identified, investigated, and resolved quickly and effectively.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and reliability of data sources and data gathering techniques to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Maintain documentation, user guides, and training material, ensuring consistent language, terminology, and definitions.
  • Guide and support new data analysts with complex projects and analytics.
  • Stay up to date on developments in data analytics and adjacent fields to ensure we apply the latest techniques and methods.
Qualifications and experience
  • Degree or Diploma in relevant fields of Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Information Technology or Information Systems - (essential).
Essential:
  • +3 years' experience working as part of a progressive data team, ideally in an Associate / Data Analyst or similar role, with proven experience working with large datasets, developing analytics products & models, synthesising information, and communicating findings.
  • Experience applying analytical formula, modelling techniques, and trend forecasting using multiple data sources.
  • Experience creating dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing and development platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent knowledge and application of SQL and relational databases.
  • o Highly skilled in the MS Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel.
Desired:
  • Experience scripting and developing code (Python/PySpark, etc.).
  • Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or related fields.

  • Supports and mentors junior team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight time constraints (when necessary).
  • Efficiently prioritise tasks, balancing multiple competing priorities and demands.
  • Manages time effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities change often.
  • Curious about exploring and answering business questions.
  • Good business acumen and an understanding of business principles in the digital environment.
  • Open and eager to learn with a strong interest in data, technology, and innovation.
