Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for data models, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights and drive informed business decisions. The Data Analyst designs, create and deploy enterprise-scale data analytics solutions.





The Data Analysts' responsibility is to clean and transform data, design and build enterprise data models and incorporate advanced analytic capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to ensure effective implementation, set-up, utilisation and governance of the enterprise data platform across the organization.





This role contributes to the complete data function for data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced analytics, and requires a strong business focus, and the individual understands the strategy and direction of the business but focuses on how to underpin that with data.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

BCom or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering (IT) or similar Data analysis tools (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst) certification will be an added advantage ITIL or COBIT certification will be an added advantage

REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

2 - 4 years of working experience in an IT environment Experience in working on IT enterprise Azure-based data solutions Experience with Power BI, Power Query, T-SQL and visualizing Experience in gathering requirements and transitioning them to designs and outcomes Experience working in the Agri sector will be an advantage

Contribute to the overall business strategy through data Collaborate with IT stakeholders in the business to achieve strategic alignment regarding data-related matters. Ensure scalability of solutions Continuously improve business data environment design and efficiencies Deliver business benefits from advanced analytics Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, define requirements, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business goals. Design and develop data models, data pipelines, and ETL processes using for example Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services. Collect, cleanse, and transform data from various sources into usable formats for analysis and reporting. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI or other Azure analytics tools to present data-driven insights to stakeholders. Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and provide recommendations for process improvements and optimization. Develop and implement data governance and data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data. Monitor and optimize Azure resources and services to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Azure services, tools, and best practices, and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's data strategy. Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues. Stay up to date with the latest data technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
