Aligned to wider functional (People Services, Finance and Enablement) transformation drives and the reduction in core systems diversity across the Group, Shared Services will deliver an increasing footprint of globally harmonised services that are standardised across Businesses and Group Functions enabled by a Global Business Operations Support function that provides common services focused on Transitions and Projects delivery, Performance Reporting Centre of Excellence (PRCoE) including Commercial Management, Business Performance Reporting, HR Reporting, GSS Data Analysis and Business Intelligence and Finance Business Improvement Delivery, Finance and Customer Experience Services.



Manage the Global Data Analysis and Business Intelligence (DA & BI) function for GSS and oversee all activities relating to the reporting of GSS performance to the senior leadership team and clients (Businesses) complying with the PRCoE Business Intelligences governance framework and processes. The role focuses on building strong internal and external business relationships and adding value through optimal customer service, continuous innovation evolvement which requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of data and Business Intelligence Data models and Dashboards.

In order to deliver insights, you will be responsible for leading a team and creating end to end solutions which include but are not limited to: design and testing of data collection, problem definition, data exploration, data modelling and visualization, experimenting with statistical methods when required, implementing statistical models or solutions where appropriate and providing business with the required insights.

The GSS Data Analysis and Business Intelligence Superintendent and team provides insights and sets direction for the reporting delivered to maximize the value delivered at the most efficient manner utilising PRCoE Ways of working principles, project management and planning tools and the Portfolio monitoring Dashboard.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of GSS' global internal and external dashboard development at a strategic, management (tactical) and operational level, relating to Finance, People Services and Enablement Functions across all regions: EMEA, Americas, and APAC, and Businesses meeting delivery dates and high quality BI Dashboards.
  • Accountable and Responsible for the gathering and analysis of data, data modelling using advanced statistical models, BI Visualisation and continuously learning about new ways to mine data and distil meaning out of the increasing amount of data available in GSS.
  • Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the reporting output of the capability. Includes testing the accuracy of data sources and rejection of inaccurate data. Interpret available data to draw conclusions and make or challenge decisions and scope.
  • Use creativity and innovative techniques to enhance and improve current statistical processes and methods.
  • Utilise BI Visualisation tools as a predictive analytical tool.
  • Managing stakeholder requirements by assisting the team in facilitating information gathering and brainstorming sessions with the Service Delivery teams to understand the data analytics needs.
  • Embody a standard to coordinate, manage and review modelling solutions and analysis to determine validity, impact potential and business fit.
  • Curate the reporting ecosystem to maximize insights, minimize gaps, and ensure implementation of efficient and cost-effective solutions.
  • Engage in strategic planning and tactical implementation of data analytic activities.
  • Develop and update standard emplates, dashboards with insights, scorecards, and metrics that drive change in the business which are tailored in level of detail for the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Monitors and challenges the integrity of data across multiple Businesses and GSS.
  • Communicate to senior management through discussion, presentations, and commentary of results, recommendations and meaningful insights gained through data analysis to be used to develop strategic and operational plans. Present insight briefs that address areas of business value and opportunities to improve it.
  • Lead efforts to research and evaluate new tools/capabilities in the analytics industry.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines.
  • Planning, organisation, capacity planning, timely delivery, and on-going monitoring of the GSS Data Analysis and Business Intelligence portfolio.
  • GSS Finance, Enablement and People Services Internal and External stakeholder engagements to enable introductions, requirements, and delivery updates.
  • Maintenance, and enhancement of fit-for-purpose governance processes.
  • Management and compliance of the PRCoE end-to-end BI Dashboard Governance Development process.
  • Maintaining the tools, technology and licensing required.
  • Focus on efficiency and sustainability such as Power BI, Sap Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Alteryx.
  • Includes working with counterparts in Global IM and the Business to create, test and deploy technology solutions aligned to the Global IM Technology stack and GSS BI Architecture.
  • Keep abreast of the latest Data Analytics and Reporting trends
  • Demonstrate behaviour in line with health, safety and environmental standards and with the Group's values.
  • Provide leadership to and develop the performance of your team in line with the Group's policies and systems (e.g. performance management) in order to achieve business goals.
  • Develop a clear and aligned plan for your team aligned to the PRCoE strategy and objectives
Qualifications
  • Degree in business, finance, computer science, data science statistics, mathematics, Information Technology, or related field of study requirement.
  • Relevant Post Graduate Degree requirement.
EXPERIENCE
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant management experience.
  • 10 years technical experience relevant Data Analysis and Business Intelligence is a requirement.
  • Specialist in PowerBI and Sap Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a requirement.
