Key Responsibilities: - Manage and supervise cutting room staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. - Develop and implement cutting room procedures and policies to optimize efficiency and ensure adherence to quality standards. - Coordinate with production planning and scheduling teams to prioritize cutting orders and meet production deadlines. - Monitor and maintain cutting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. - Conduct regular inspections of materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. - Collaborate with other department managers to streamline workflow processes and resolve any issues that may arise. - Prepare and analyze reports on cutting room performance, including productivity, quality, and cost metrics. - Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cutting room operations and reduce waste. - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, textile technology, or a related field preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cutting room management role in a manufacturing environment. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. - Thorough understanding of cutting room processes, equipment, and materials. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
