Role Overview:
The Customer Care Assistant will ensure a high degree of Customer Care within the store whilst maintaining a good, clean and welcoming environment
Customer care and service:
Ensure a welcoming environment for the customer.
Creating an inspiring environment.
Ensure that every customer receives great service delivery that starts with a greeting and a smile.
Conduct administrative duties including; the implementation of markdowns, promotions and effective merchandising.
To ensure that relevant targets at stores are met and exceeded.
Implement new merchandise/sales strategies to ensure stores exceed targets.
To meet and greet shoppers. Report any special need customers to the Store Manager
To promote discounts and daily in - store specials
Handing out pamphlets
Guiding shoppers towards specials
Assist with back shopping
To enhance the client shopping experience
Be The "friendly face" in store to customers
Give General customer experience feedback to Store Management
To give clients a heartfelt farewell after their shopping experience
To assist the elderly when the need arises
Merchandising:
To ensure that delivered stock is unpacked and presented on the shop floor.
With the assistance of the Store Manager/Sales Team Leader, ensure that all items on display and on the shop floor are priced accordingly.
Ensure that main tables are stocked accordingly and mannequins are dressed as required.
Ensure that flat packed garments are neat and tidy with size stickers attached accordingly.
Ensure that hanging garments are merchandised correctly and size stickers are attached.
Ensure that markdown and promotion items are correctly merchandised with relevant stickers attached.
Administrative Functions:
Together with Store Manager/Sales Team Leader, ensure store administrative functions are efficiently carried out.
To be vigilant at all times in order to negate any form of stock losses.
Attend morning meetings and conduct daily duties accordingly.
Ensure that daily banking is balanced accordingly, thus negating "shortages" and "overages".
Ensure that daily cash collections with the utilized financial service providers are processed and balanced accordingly.
Ensure that a complete banking report of cash collections is issued to head office.
Ensure that daily cash-up report is done submitted to Store Manager to report to head office.
Ensure that daily sales are processed accordingly and proper handling of cash transactions.
General housekeeping, including mopped floors, clean windows, rubbish bin emptied, parcel counter neat and tidy, changeroom mirrors cleaned, fans wiped/ dusted, etc.
Specific focus on stock loss prevention.
Requirements and Competencies:
Customer care focused
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to take instructions easily
Ability to deal with difficult customers
Attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills
Good Relationship building skills
Grade 12
Basic arithmetic skills and a good command of the English language
Advantageous to have retail experience, specifically clothing.
