This role is all about creating exceptional experiences for our clients. As a Customer Relationship Officer, you will be the trusted link between our organisation and healthcare providers, specialists, and corporate clients. Your purpose is to ensure every interaction reflects care, professionalism, and efficiency. This is more than a job, it is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare journey of thousands of people.
Job Requirements
Role Requirements
To thrive in this role, you need a solid foundation in health or business administration. A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is essential. You also need a valid South African driver's license (Code 08 EB), as regular travel to client sites is part of your day-to-day responsibilities. These qualifications ensure you are equipped to navigate the complexities of healthcare environments while delivering exceptional service. Experience matters because this role demands confidence and competence. You should bring 2 to 4 years of experience in healthcare, pathology, or patient service environments. This experience will have honed your ability to manage administrative tasks, support client relationships, and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and corporate clients. If you have worked in a medical or laboratory context, you will understand the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, and empathy in every interaction.
Role Skills Requirements
Success in this role depends on a unique blend of technical knowledge and interpersonal skills. You need to understand pathology workflows, from specimen collection to result reporting, and have a working knowledge of South African healthcare regulations, including POPIA. Beyond technical expertise, you must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, a calm and professional approach under pressure, and a strong service mindset. Your ability to communicate clearly, manage difficult conversations with tact, and solve problems creatively will set you apart. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential for managing records and supporting operational workflows. Most importantly, you need to be collaborative, empathetic, and committed to continuous improvement--because this role is about people as much as it is about processes.
Role Impact
This is where your contribution truly shines. As a Customer Relationship Officer, you are not just resolving queries, you are shaping experiences that matter. You will help create a high-performance culture by driving service excellence and supporting operational improvements. You will empower leadership by providing insights and fostering accountability through accurate reporting and proactive engagement. You will ignite employee and client engagement by building relationships that go beyond transactions. Through your efforts, you will contribute to developing capabilities for the future and attracting talent that aligns with our vision. Every conversation, every visit, and every solution you provide will strengthen trust and ensure that we deliver on our promise of care and quality.
